Nose tip lifting

Nasal tip lift. Lifting the tip of the nose with botulinum toxin (Botox).

Ideally, the angle that the nose makes with the upper lip is between 90 and 110 degrees. Lifting the tip of the nose is most often done through hyaluronic filler and is referred to as nonoperative rhinoplasty. It also includes adjusting the angle between the forehead and nose and straightening the back of the nose if necessary.

In some people, however, sagging of the tip of the nose is not observed in a static position, but only in certain actions. The utterance of certain sounds and smiles lead to pulling the tip of the nose down. This is due to the contraction of m. depressor septi nasi. The application of botulinum neurotoxin in this muscle leads to its relaxation and lifting of the tip of the nose.

Pre-treatment precautions

Stop taking Aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at least 7 days before the procedure. Do not drink alcohol the day before the procedure.

Anesthesia

It is not necessary. It is possible to use an anesthetic in the form of a cream.

Duration

The duration of the procedure is about 10-20 minutes. The effect lasts between 4 and 12 months.

Post-treatment care

You may have redness that will go away in 2 hours. Anesthesia is not necessary. Do not bend down or lie down for the next 4 hours. The day after the procedure, do not exercise or drink alcohol. Do not massage the treated area.

Contraindications

Pregnancy, lactation, local infection in the treated area, malignant and some autoimmune diseases.
